About

Will Green lives and works in Falls Church, Virginia. In 2026 he graduated from Auburn University with a degree in art history. Working primarily in oils, many of his smaller works are completed en plein air, or on location, often in a single sitting.

In the studio, Will takes on more detailed architectural scenes, including four churches, trading the spontaneity of working outdoors for careful rendering. Much of his work has been inspired by travel and an admiration for 19th century European landscape painting.

Will’s work has received two Bi-Monthly PleinAir Salon Student Category awards, in 2020 and 2021, with his paintings subsequently published in PleinAir Magazine. In 2024, he received the Auburn Department of Art and Art History Student Juried Exhibition Dean’s Purchase Award for his painting A Morning in Rome.
